Project: Install Carpentry Framing

Comments: In our backyard we built a 20'x15' garden house with a concrete foundation, interior drywall finish, special order windows, double doors for ramp access of our riding lawnmower, interior french door, glass entry door, brick exterior, a/c & electricity. This of course involved hiring a lot of the various trades to complete this very intensive project. The project was at different times unnerving just because of "some" of the clueless workers we had to deal with for the various jobs, and at different stages of the project. The only saving grace for this whole project was Katia. She kept everything moving and organized as much as possible with what she had to work with. She helped keep my sanity during this 5 week project with her incredibly calm demeanor during this stressful time. The only reason I took 1 star off for the quality of the work is because of the morons we ended up working with throughout the project. We had to always be 1 step ahead of these trades every single time to ensure a successful project. The electrician was the worst of all the trades. He would show up when he felt like, and when he did, his job completions were completely unacceptable. Katia had to ask him to return several times to correct his half assed jobs. Then there were the first group of drywall guys who were equally amateur & clueless. All in all the project ended on a high note, but it was all because of Katia's efforts for keeping on top of everything. I also felt I got a good value for as intense & comprehensive a project this turned out to be. I would recommend Katia to anyone who want a successfully completed project with an honest, hard working project manager, and who wants to avoid getting ripped off by the many scammers in the building industry.

Project: Remodel or Renovate One or More Rooms

Comments: Katia at Americana Builders was absolutely fantastic. Her team did a fantastic job taking out a couple of load bearing walls. The materials were delivered on time, and her framers knocked the job out in a day. She also did a great job of managing the subcontractors that pulled paneling, installed sheet rock, installed can lights, smoothed ceilings, painted, and reworked some electrical outlets. She was onsite everyday, and I felt comfortable leaving her to manage the job when we were at work. Small issues that weren't noticed until after the job was complete, were addressed immediately. She sent out workers at her expense to address the issue. I could not be more happy with the results. She came in on budget, and on time. I would definitely feel comfortable hiring Katia and Americana Builders again in the future.

Project: Install or Replace Wood or Fiber-Cement Siding

Comments: Americana Builders did a great job and did it in just one week. Cleaned up after themselves and were very dedicated to there work. They took the old siding off and all the trim around the house and replaced and did a fantastic job painting. I would hire them again for any kind of building I needed done.
